$126,362 to improve the care and services provided to our population

Annual General Meeting

CARAQUET – The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus held its AGM on November 26. The Board took the opportunity to summarize the accomplishments of the past year. The past fiscal year saw the Foundation invest over $126,362 to improve the care and services provided to our population. It invested in the patient care sectors (57%); diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up sectors (25%); staff education and other sectors (5%); and specialized regional services and the fight against cancer (12%). 

The Foundation is always very grateful for the significant support it receives from the community. “If the Foundation is close to the hearts of its supporters, the inverse is equally true. Our donors are the foundation and key element of the Foundation’s existence and cause. Without them, all our philanthropic achievements would not have seen the light of day,” explained Martine Thériault, Chair of the Board of Directors.

The Foundation also took advantage of the meeting to recognize donors who, through their contributions, advanced to a higher level on the Foundation’s permanent wall of recognition, located near the facility’s main entrance.

The Foundation is also proud to be able to count on a team of devoted and dynamic volunteers. The elected members of the Board of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus include Normand Mourant (Chairman), Mélanie Chiasson (Vice-Chair), Frédéric Poirier (Treasurer), Martine Thériault (Secretary), Judy Butler (Facility Manager of Hôpital Enfant-Jésus RHSH†), Marguerite-Rose Cormier, Dr Carl Boucher, Etienne Boudreau, Christina Mallet, Aline Landry and Fernand Rioux.

The mission of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus is to raise funds to improve the health care services provided at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital and to help the facility build a greater sense of belonging within its community.
