The Fondation H\u00f4pital de l’Enfant<\/g>-J\u00e9sus de Caraquet announced tonight the result of the major fundraising campaign under the theme “TOGETHER, let’s support local people in their fight against cancer”. In the presence of donors, employees and doctors of the Enfant-J\u00e9sus RHSJ \u0085Hospital in Caraquet as well as volunteers who contributed to the success of this major campaign, an amount of $870,788 was announced. With a goal of raising $815,000, we can say that the campaign was a success from top to bottom. The money will be used to improve the Oncology department and to acquire other equipment related to cancer control in the Medical Imaging department and the Urology clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network is very\nproud of its partnership with the Fondation H\u00f4pital de l’Enfant-J\u00e9sus de\nCaraquet: “The Foundation has been a major supporter of our institution\nsince 1988 and it is the people of the region, all of you, your families and\nloved ones who benefit. Thanks to the generosity and support of the people in\nthe community, you are able to achieve and surpass your goals year after year.\nThis is proof that together, everything is possible,” said Gilles\nLanteigne, CEO of Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of such a campaign\ndepends on people’s attachment to their hospital. Mr. Joseph Lanteigne,\nPresident of the Major Fundraising campaign, would like to thank those who have\nmade a great difference: “On behalf of my team of volunteers, I would like\nto thank you sincerely on behalf of all the patients who benefit from this\nOncology service here at home. \u00bb  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Mr. Normand Mourant, Chairman\nof Fondation H\u00f4pital de l’Enfant-J\u00e9sus de Caraquet reminds us of the importance\nof such a campaign: “In addition to improving the quality of life of\npatients and their families, we are giving ourselves the means to have the best\nequipment. Thank you, because you are making a big difference in the quality of\nthe health care here. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteer spokesperson for the\nMajor Campaign, Ms. Rosemonde Albert, cancer survivor: “On behalf of all\nthose who, like me, had to fight cancer, I would like to thank you with all my\nheart. Without the help of all of you, donors and volunteers, such a project\nwould not be possible. During my treatments, I was often told to keep my head\nup and that one day it would be my turn to ring the bell signifying the end of\nmy treatments. Tonight, I am proud to say that together, we will allow others\nto ring the bell!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
