CARAQUET \u2013 The Fondation H\u00f4pital de\nl’Enfant-J\u00e9sus de Caraquet would like to thank Mr. Gaston Hachey who donated\n$2,500 to create an endowment fund in memory of Mrs. Lorraine Th\u00e9riault to\nhonour her commitment to the community and health care in the region. Mrs. Th\u00e9riault\nwas the wife of Mr. G\u00e9rald W. Th\u00e9riault of Grande-Anse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Hachey, the\nexecutor of Mrs. Th\u00e9riault’s will, explains the motivation for his gesture by\nthe fact that Mrs. Th\u00e9riault was very conscious of the need for health services\nin the region and was fully grateful for them. \nA woman of great generosity, she was very involved in her\ncommunity. She gave much of her time to\nmany associations such as Les Dames d’Acadie, Les Dames de l’Institut f\u00e9minin,\nthe committee to save the Enfant-J\u00e9sus Hospital (SOS Hospital), the Grande-Anse\nGolden Age Club, as well as to several medical societies such as the Arthritis\nSociety, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation for\nwhich she organized the annual regional fundraiser for many years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We would like to\nthank Mr. Hachey for this generous gesture. The Endowment Fund program is a way\nto honor a loved one and at the same time support the development of the\nEnfant-J\u00e9sus Hospital RHSJ\u2020. The capital\nis invested and the interest is used so that the foundation can achieve its\nmission,” says Ms. Christina Mallet, Chair of the Board of Directors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mission of the Enfant-J\u00e9sus Hospital Foundation is to raise funds\nfor the purpose of supporting the Enfant-J\u00e9sus Hospital RHSJ\u2020 and improving\nhealth care and services for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
