CARAQUET – The 2016 Annual Campaign organized by the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus was officially launched this morning at the cafeteria of the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital.
The financial objective for the 2016 campaign has been set at $90,000. This year three areas of the hospital will benefit from the annual campaign (Laboratory, Medical, and Electrodiagnostics). An amount of $10,000 will also go toward various regional projects.
“The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus makes it possible for us to carry out important projects for our facility. We see the foundation’s annual campaign as a collective investment in a healthy future for our region,” explained Judy Butler, Manager of the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital.
The press conference also allowed the foundation to highlight the contributions of the following partners: the Northern Star, the hospital’s employees, the City of Caraquet, Maison Funéraire LeGresley, Shoppers Drug Mart in Caraquet, C.L. Comeau and Village of Bertrand.
“Thanks to our donors, a number of projects focused on our health are becoming a reality. I am in fact one of the thousands patients that the hospital staff is caring for each year and who benefit from this generosity. Sincere thanks to all,” said Thérèse Haché, Chairperson of the 2016 Annual Campaign.
For his part, Normand Mourant, Chairman of the foundation’s Board of Directors, stressed how proud he was. “Our community has always dedicated itself to the improvement of health care and we can be proud of the impact that we have in the region, as for the past 26 years, an amount of over 1.4 million dollars has been invested into the hospital through the foundation’s activities.”
The annual campaign will continue until the end of April. Upcoming activities include the 5th Benefit Supper featuring guest artists, to be held on March 12, 2016 and the Roses Radiothon, to be held on April 29, 2016. People are also invited to participate by making a donation online at www.fondationenfantjesus.ca.
The mission of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus is to raise funds to improve the health care services provided at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital and to help the facility build a greater sense of belonging within its community.
