CARAQUET – The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus held its annual general meeting November 10 and presented a very positive report. You may consult the 2020-2021 annual report on the following site: https://fondationenfantjesus.ca/impact/rapport-annuel/
Over the past fiscal year, the Foundation contributed an amount of $602,106. This amount was invested in the following sectors to improve health care and services for the public:
“We are always very proud of the support that we can provide to our facility, but this year is very special, because we have successfully met the challenge of completing the work on the new oncology clinic, despite the pandemic, to ensure that our people can receive their treatment near their home. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our region’s people,” said Joseph Lanteigne, Chair of the Major Campaign – Together, let’s support the people of our region in their fight against cancer. You can see some pictures of the visit of the new oncology clinic and the equipment of the medical imaging and the outpatient clinic by following this link: https://youtu.be/21nXG2cTvrM
Year after year, the Foundation works hard to achieve its ever more ambitious objectives. Over the course of the next year, the foundation will begin a strategic planning process. This process will help us continue to be a key partner in maintaining and developing health care and services here in our region!
“Every dollar received and every hour of volunteer work help shape the health care services provided in the region. Whether it be a corporate or private donation or participation in an event such as the Northern Star campaign or the Roses Radiothon, we know we can count on our community. Thank you to our donors and volunteers for your outstanding commitment,” added Christina Mallet, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus.
The elected members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors for the coming year are Christina Mallet (Chair), Aline Landry (Vice-Chair), Chérine Dugas (Treasurer), Jean-Claude Doiron (Secretary), Judy Butler (Manager of Primary Health Care), Louise Thériault, Dr. Solange Lanteigne, Léonel Albert, Florence Albert, Annie-Julie Gauvin, David Blanchard and Donat Bertin.
