Caraquet, December 1st 2025 – At its annual general meeting, the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus of Caraquet has drawn up a report highlighting exceptional support it has received from the community, its great generosity, and its tangible impact on the health services offered to the population. Driven by the ongoing support of donors, businesses, volunteers, and partners, the Foundation continues to do everything in its power to improve healthcare here at home first.

2024 Annual Campaign: A shared success
Thanks to the generous participation of our donors, businesses and partners, the Foundation not only met but far exceeded its initial goal of $99,243, raising an impressive $126,372 for our annual campaign. A success story that demonstrates the strength and solidarity of the entire community in support of the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet.
A tangible financial impact on healthcare
A total of $176,850 was invested during the 2024-2025 fiscal year, including $75,953 in patient care-related areas (65%), $85,053 in areas related to diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up (21%), $10,000 in regional projects (9%), and $5,844 in staff development and other areas (5%). These investments directly contribute to enhancing the quality, accessibility, and continuity of care provided to patients and their families.

The Foundation emphasizes the essential role of volunteers, donors, businesses, and partners who, through their loyalty and constant support, enable concrete improvements in the areas of care, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and staff development, benefiting the entire population served.
New Board of Directors
The Enfant-Jésus Hospital Foundation in Caraquet is pleased to announce the composition of its board of directors for the year 2025–2026: Normand Mourant, Chairperson, David Blanchard, Vice-Chairperson, Chérine Dugas, Treasurer, Donat Bertin, Secretary, Michel Chiasson, Dre Mélissa Godin, Jean Lanteigne, Yvette Levesque, Éric Haché and Lucie Wilson.

Since 1988, the Foundation support the Enfant-Jésus Hospital RHSJ† and has invested more than $3.3 millions to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare in our community. Through its fundraising campaigns, partnerships, and community engagement, it helps equip the hospital with innovative equipment, services, and projects that meet the priority needs of patients.
